EGGER at the 3rd Congress of the Future
On the 6th of June 2019 in the Conference and Training Centre of UWM in Olsztyn for the third time the Congress of the Future took place. It was organized under the aegis of the Marshal of the Warmia and Mazury Voivodeship Gustaw Marek Brzezin and the WM Group.
The event was attended by parliamentarians, local governments, entrepreneurs, local animators of culture and business, social activists.
In the first part of the congress, Marshal Gustaw Marek Brzezin presented the Honorary Badges "For Merits for the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship". The III Warmia and Mazury Congress of the Future is an excellent opportunity to award distinctions to companies from Warmia and Mazury, which have the greatest impact on the development of the region in terms of categories: Pillars of the Economy 2019, Innovation Leaders 2019, Investment friendly for families and residents, Investment friendly for the environment.
On behalf of EGGER Biskupiec, which was honoured in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility, the award was received by the Sales Director Waldemar Zawiślak.
During the discussion panels, the participants discussed our future and the future of our environment, as well as the possibilities of taking care of natural resources. Discussions were held on how modernity can go hand in hand with taking care of the environment. The main topic was alternative energy sources.
A representative of the EGGER Group, Martin Wurzl, who is the head of the Competence Centre for Technical Standards in our Group, also gave a presentation on "Environment and sustainability in the EGGER Group".
In his lecture, Martin Wurzl addressed the issues of our priority and strategic goal of sustainable development. Our company's mission "More from wood" underlines that wood, which is a renewable raw material, is used in production in a responsible way.
