Students from the District Educational Center in Kętrzyn visited construction site in Biskupiec
On the 20th of September 2017 we had the pleasure to host a group of students from the District Educational Center in Kętrzyn at the construction site in Biskupiec. During the visit, they learned the history of the EGGER Group, our products, philosophy, as well as the mission of the company, according to which we operate in 18 factories located all over the world.
Our specialists guided the visitors to the construction site so that they could see ground works and the engineering works carried out, the process of making and testing bearing capacity of piles and the assembly of structural reinforcement. The trip allowed students to confront their theoretical knowledge that they acquire every day at school with its practical use at one of the largest construction sites in Poland.
"During the meeting, we had the opportunity to explain the students the meaning of the sustainable use of materials in EGGER plants and the installations that will be used in the new production plant. The students were particularly interested in the aspect of innovation in the various areas of our business – among others the manufacturing process, the BTA (Best Available Techniques) factory equipment, marketing and customer relations" - emphasizes Anna Myślak, responsible for communication at EGGER.
It was the first out of a series of planned visits to the site of the chipboard plant in Biskupiec organized for technical schools students from the region. In accordance with the philosophy of the company, EGGER is committed to the local community in the areas where it operates. Therefore, we are keen to support regional initiatives.
